MIKE REYNOLDS

I am a life-long Canon shooter that has evolved from the days of AE-1 film cameras, through the first point and shoot digital offerings, to today’s full-frame Canon DSLRs. With that evolution I feel I have progressed from “taking pictures” to creating photographic imagery.

Being the son in a military family, my early years after birth were spent in Colorado, Illinois, Delaware, and the Philadelphia area before moving to and growing up at the New Jersey Shore. After graduating from Wake Forest University, I initially worked in sales and then was employed in the College Textbook Publishing industry for 38 years, primarily as an Executive Editor/Product Manager. After retiring in 2016, hobbies consisting of photography, cycling, and spoiling our grandchildren have taken up the majority of my time.

My photography crosses over many areas including landscape, architecture, wildlife, macro, street, and travel photography. I have primarily relied on my Canon EOS D5s with occasional use my Canon EOS 7D and paired them with an assortment of L lenses.  However, I have just purchased a new EOS R6 Mark II and look forward to using it going forward teamed with the D5s.
